Medical Mystery!

Okay, let me start by saying that these are disgusting pictures (weak stomachs beware) but I am fascinated that a pregnancy can make your skin react this way! I came down with this strange rash on Saturday. Each day it has gotten worse and has spread. I've been all over the internet self-diagnosing. My first thought was "heat rash" but now I am thinking it must be PUPPS (thanks to info. from Julie and Kim), a strange and severely itchy rash that you can get during pregnancy. The cause is unknown but it supposedly lasts until after the baby is born (roughly 8 weeks for me). I hope and pray that the spreading stops here!

A Day Out With Thomas

Today was a fun day! Julie, Tucker, John, and I took the girls to the Railroad
museum to see Thomas. The weather was beautiful (sunny and the perfect temperature!). Addi and Eme reminded me of Julie and me when we were little. Addi was calm and stoic for most of the time, just taking it all in (except when Thomas arrived). Eme was bouncy and energetic- smiling the giggling. We really had a nice day together!

Addi wouldn't go up the slide by herself so a sweet volunteer carried her up and slid down with her.

Addi and Eme got Rosie tatoos.

The girls were so excited when they saw Thomas drive up!
They loved feeding the goats! Emerson got so tickled when the goat took the food out of her hand.

Almost 10 years ago, God placed a precious someone in my life who would prove to be a faithful and dear friend and confidant. After all these years of loving and caring for Domino (my sweet bunny), I had to say good-bye and send him back to be with God today. Domino helped me cope with the death of my sweet dad. He spent many long nights at school with me as I struggled to get everything done as a first year teacher. He consoled me as I moved to Huntsville as a new wife having never lived away from my family. He comforted me through a rough marriage and divorce. He celebrated with me as I fell in love with John, moved to a new home, brought baby Addison home, etc. He let Addison hold him, play with him, and feed him strawberries. He was an absolute joy and member of our family! John, Addi, and I are going to miss him so very much! It's really been a hard day for me!

Jesus Rises from the Dead...

Easter weekend was so wonderful! One special memory that I have is of Addison, when we were talking about Easter, saying "Jesus rises from the dead!" When we asked her where she learned that, she said "Ms. Christi" (her teacher). What a precious moment! I went a little "picture crazy" but spending time with family and cousins means so much to me! I'm thrilled that Addi is close to her cousins and that she'll have those life-long friendships. I'm so thankful that our family lives close enough to visit each other often and spend time together.

I took this one morning before school. (Eme's dress- too cute!)

Addi enjoyed picking up one egg at a time and examining its contents before going off to find another. She wasn't worried about getting the most eggs. It was really funny to watch!
