More summer fun!

It's been a few weeks since I've updated the blog. Here goes:
I love this picture of Finley! It was taken in the bathroom at Toys R Us (which is much nicer than before now that it's been remodeled!).
Finley rode the carousel for the first time but with me, not Addi! I just posed them for a picture this way! She enjoyed it!
Addi has been building with her blocks. This was the train she made.
My girls love to give each other hugs and kisses!
Addi and I have been building marble runs. It's difficult to build one that actually works!
Riley celebrated her 4th birthday at Mountain Brook Gymnastics. The girls had so much fun!

Then we stopped by Julie's and let the girls play. They fixed each other's hair, played dress up, and danced to Bella Dancerella.

We went to Aunt Laura's baby shower.

Addi is still enjoying taking gymnastics!
We had the best play date with some friends in Addi's class. This is Ms. Lindsey- her teacher from last year who all the kids adore!

I've taken the girls to Tannehill a few times. This just happened to be Trade Days. We had so much fun!

The girls love bath time thanks to the toy that Julie gave Finley for her 1st birthday.

Addi had her first sleep over. Her cousin Dartmouth spent the night. They really had fun together!

Dartmouth taught Addi how to make grilled cheeses for breakfast.
Finley is into everything! She just started walking. She loves to climb up the stairs and down. She figured out by herself how to go down the stairs backwards. She is definitely a climber! We often hear her fussing when she's climbed up on something and can't get down. She can climb up the slide in our playroom and go down it on her belly by herself. Her molars are trying to come in and they are driving her (and everyone) crazy. I'm sure they don't feel too good!
Caught ya, Finley Kate!
We had a play date with Riley, Reese, Aunt Royce, and Uncle Rick.
The girls had a nice time playing in the sprinkler and water table.

They read a few Fancy Nancy books and played dress up in Riley's playroom.
Mom kept the girls so we could celebrate John's birthday. We went to Brock's to eat! The food was delicious and they made this beautiful dessert for us. YUM-MY!
Gigi took Addi to see Winnie the Pooh! She loved it though I can't get her to tell me much about it. I think she was too focused on the yummy sucker she was eating. She can tell what happens in books much better than movies.
Addi cracks me up with the comments she makes! I try so hard to remember them or write them down but I just can't capture her exact wording or write them down before I forget. Like tonight, I told her it was time to get ready for bed. She said, "Oh no! Not again!" This morning we were playing and she started to have a tantrum because she couldn't get the knot out of her apron to put it on. She said, "Mommy, how am I going to get to the party if I don't have my dress?" I guess it was funny b/c she was so serious about it. She's a mess! I adore my daughters and am so thankful that I have these great summer memories!

Happy 4th of July!!

Our family had the best time at the lake celebrating the 4th! Here are some pictures of our fun weekend together.
Braden rode the wake board and got up every time!
Finley took lots of good "boat naps." Emily joined her on one of them! Finley fell asleep so Emily said she'd stay in the boat with her after we got back from a ride.
Finley loves her Emily!

John built a fire for the kids to roast 4th of July marshmallows.
The kids threw poppers! I had a little fun throwing poppers in the kitchen and startling Mom!
Sweet Fin Fin
The best part was having people sleeping everywhere! It was great!
Anders enjoyed playing and swimming, too.

We went to Young's Island and let the kids play in the sand and swim.

Weston (who just turned 4) skied by himself! YEA!

the girls love their Gigi
Braden pulled out lots of tricks on the knee board.
We played around with the camera and tried to get lots of shots of Randy in the air on the wake board.

I wake boarded but fell as soon as I got out of the wake.

Addi had to show off her tongue trick, as always!

flips and tricks off of the pier

Grayson also skied!

It was a wonderful weekend full of fun memories! It's neat to watch the kids grow and change each year. I am so thankful that my girls and their cousins are so close in age and have so much fun together! We really enjoyed having Emily and Aunt Glenda spend the night and stay, too!
