birthday fun and one month old

I can hardly believe that another birthday party has come and gone! Addi and Eme's birthday party was so much fun, thanks to Julie and all of her hard work (and the help of everyone who helped set up and clean up). (I've decided that Julie needs to be a professional party planner). She got all of the ideas and put all of the booths, etc. together. It was a blast!

This picture shows just how selfless and hard-working my mom is! The vacuum is bigger than she is, yet she pushes on. She cooked at least 45 hot dogs, amongst a billion other things she did to help!

I also can hardly believe that Finley is now a month old. Here are the pictures I took of her that morning. I adore this outfit given to us by the Kilgores. It fits perfectly, is so soft, and looks adorable!

My sweet friend, Meredith, came over the other day and brought dinner and gifts! It was so much fun getting to see her and her little boy, Davis. For Addi's birthday, they gave her a travel desk for our long car rides and a boa. Addi wears her purple boa everyday and just dances and dances! They gave Finley a gorgeous gown and hat. I'll have to put a picture of her in it on here soon!

The pictures below crack me up! Finley's hair curls after her bath. It is so cute! I think she looks like my dad when he was a baby. John and I laugh and say she's going through puberty at 3 weeks old with the curly hair and baby acne. She's such a precious baby! (She looks so much bigger in pictures than she really is- she's really a thin, tiny thing in person!)

Thank you so much Leigh, Chip, Houston, James, and Katherine for coming to visit us and for bringing gifts and dinner! It was so nice getting to see you, and dinner was delicious! Addi and I read her new "Spot" book at bedtime. She loves it!

The other day, John and I had a photo session for the girls. We didn't want to pay to have someone come to the house, so we did it ourselves. I think they turned out really cute!

Addi was playing doctor on her stuffed iguana. She said, "Mommy, he has a murmur in his heart- in his heart beep! I definitely have to get him medicine!"
