Photo shoot and more

Today was a fun day! We decided to skip church and head out to Botanical Gardens to do a photo shoot with the girls. Afterwards, we went out to Chelsea to see John's side of the family and to celebrate Jett's birthday. Here are the pics...
This was one of David, John's dad, with his hands around Addi's face. I think it is SO sweet!

I love this one of Finley! It is just "her"!

This is my favorite picture of Addi!

John took this one! Isn't it neat?!
giggly girls- so cute!

The pictures below are of us at Old Baker Farm last weekend.
Addi rode the horse all by herself. I didn't even walk beside her!
The girls and their sweet Gigi

This is so "Addi"!

Below is a picture of the girls before their school picture day.

A little info. about the girls these days.
*Finley is almost 16 months old. She is a very serious baby and can make some mean looking faces. But it's all a show b/c that girl is an absolute love! She loves to hug and kiss and be held. She loves to climb all over her sister and squeal. She still doesn't sleep so well- always waking us at 4 or 5 am with crying and screaming. She isn't talking much yet, but understands everything and can perform tasks when asked. She says the following words (though some we only know b/c she's holding that object): Mama, Dada, Gigi, sock, eye, ear, water (wah wah), bottle (bah bah), dog, bark...I think that's it! She knows most of her body parts. She loves her paci (unfortunately) and makes the funniest sound when she's tired and begins sucking on it. She loves babies (real babies and dolls) and sleeps with a doll every night. She's very gentle with babies and animals (she loves animals, too!). Finley enjoys going and doing since that's all she's ever known. She loves new experiences! When I say, "Finley, you want to go outside?" she jumps and marches and gets so excited! Her favorite foods are yogurt, strawberries, kiwi, cheese, and anything sweet. She even eats a little chocolate with me sometimes. She uses a fork very well! Finley is a little love and we could just eat her up!
*Addi is 4 years old. She is a ham and seems to love attention! She demands our attention at all times either by singing, talking, being silly, or pitching a fit. Her mouth is constantly "on the go." She's very independent and dresses herself, makes her bed, feeds her fish, and puts her socks and shoes on. She can be very bossy and sassy (I'm hoping that is a 4 year old thing and that it will somewhat wear off). I sometimes see this trait as disrespectful! Addi keeps us laughing with the witty and over-the-top things she says. I am constantly writing down what she says b/c it shocks me! She has a good vocabulary! She loves school and her teacher. Lately, she is enjoying learning bible verses, the Lord's prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and other little songs and poems (but only if Ms. Suzie teaches them to her- she won't let me teach her anything!). She takes gymnastics and soccer. She loves to be going and doing and will sometimes cry if we tell her we need to go home (after being at daycare all day!). One of her favorite places to go is the mall to ride the carousel, get a cookie, and go to the Lego store. She is such an awesome kid and we love her so much!

What's up with the Woolards...

Here's what's up with the Woolards lately...
We went to see Memommy, my precious grandmother! The girls were wild and performed tricks for everyone.
Addi has been learning about colors at school. Each week, they study 2 colors. They wear the color and bring show and tell items. She loves it!
Addi had her tubes taken out b/c one was dangerously close to falling behind her ear drum. After they took her tubes out, they told us that the holes remaining are larger than expected so when she turns 7 or 8, she'll have to have her ear drums reconstructed. Not something I look forward to!
Fall and football are here! The girls are enjoying watching Auburn play.
We celebrated my mom's birthday and my Aunt Glenda's birthday. This is the picture that Addi drew in Mom's card. I think it is so funny!

This is known around our house as "the Finley Face." Boy, can this cute little girl give some dirty looks. She's a hoot!
Addi had a hearing test today. Our audiologist reiterated that the perforations in Addi's ear drums are large and that the "patches" the ENT put on them didn't hold. Addison did an awesome job at her appointment. They played hearing game after hearing game for over an hour straight. She stayed focused and followed directions (Thank you, Lord!). Both ears are hearing below what they were previously, especially in the low frequencies. They bumped up the volume of her hearing aid which is doing a great job of compensating for the hearing loss. The audiologist is now saying that Addi's hearing loss is conductive rather than sensory-neural as they have always thought (which is a good thing- i.e. no damage to the hearing nerve). So...we will retest in 6 months and hope that her hearing doesn't get any worse.
We had an awesome time celebrating Jon Daniel's birthday at Pump it Up!
The girls had so much fun!

the Finley Face (almost)

Finley was having so much fun sliding with John and me that we decided to let her try it on her own. She smiled the whole way down!

Here she goes...
