Addi's first fieldtrip

Last week, I took a day off to be a chaperone on Addison's first fieldtrip! We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Clanton. It was so much fun!

(in the top picture) Elise Rose, Ava, and their moms rode with us.
Addi actually jumped in the jumpies! She usually shies away. Thank goodness it was only the 3s and 4s from her school in the jumpy arena. She doesn't like to jump with "big kids."
She loved the obstacle course jumpy.
Here is double trouble! Addi just adores Thomas!

Addi surprised me when picking out her pumpkin. Rather than carefully walking around and looking at the details of the pumpkins and feeling like she had to pick the "perfect" pumkin, Addi grabbed one that was lopsided with a partially green, squishy stem and headed straight for the hay pile to play. She doesn't take after me!

Addison fell in love with these baby pigs! They kept snorting and licking her hands, and she loved every minute of it.
She also liked this pony!
Julie bought these baby legs for Finley and let us borrow the hat which was Eme's when she was a baby. Addi and I cracked up at Finley! She kept falling face first in the couch but it didn't bother her one bit! She must've face-planted five times and just kept the same, straight face! That's my laid-back baby!

I love this one!

Mommy's little monsters

I'm finally getting the chance to blog...John and I took the girls to Boo at the Zoo for the opening weekend a week or so ago. I dressed the girls as monsters, and they looked so cute! Finley has a really cute shirt and pants to match but it was just too hot to wear. (Thanks, Julie, for finding the purple beanie hats. They look so much cuter than the white ones I bought!)

Addi enjoyed getting pictures with Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs.
We rode the train and the carousel. Addison had a super time, but John and I were a little disappointed this year. There didn't seem to be as many games for the little kids to play. Everything cost $3.50 per person, and there were about 6 or 7 extra things you could do. We weren't about to pay $18 each for us to get in and get a wrist band. We were also disappointed with the candy they gave out (jaw breakers, large lemon heads, sour hard candy, fire balls, etc.). When they saw Addi, some gave her those candies as opposed to Smarties or Laffy Taffy. I wouldn't even let an 8 year old eat those candies! Scary!
It is so much fun watching my girls play together! Finley just loves Addi. She smiles as soon as she sees her. I think the feeling is mutual! Addi loves to wake up and kiss her baby sister.
Addi holding "Addi"- John's pride and joy snake! Though I'm not the snake lover that John is, I do think this snake is beautiful!
Finley's first palm tree!
Finley stats at 4 months old:
75% in length
50% in weight
60% head circumference
She's growing and developing very well! She now reaches for objects and takes them directly to her mouth. She holds her head up well and looks around when on her tummy. She laughs! She drools like crazy and even has teeth buds that are visible through her gums. Finley is just the sweetest, laid-back baby, and we love her dearly!

Catching up!

Here is what we've been up to lately...
making monster costumes for my girls for Halloween
(Is this not hysterical?)
Here's a preview of Finley's monster hat. Still not quite finished with the other costume parts. Addi's hat is identical to Fin's (except for the color of horns).

dressing up in Auburn attire for school (I love for my girls to match though it's hard to do with their sizes!)

Finley got so excited she just fell asleep!

Everyone came over to our house to play!
Julie had a "Mr. Bones" candy craft for the kids to make.
