Memorial Day at the Lake

We had a wonderful Memorial Day at the lake! It is our last vacation for a while since little Finley will be here soon. The "cousins" had so much fun together! They interact more and more. We spent the majority of our time in the new screened in porch. It is so spacious and nice! We rode in the boat, the kids collected shells and rocks on a little island, we "camped out" as Grayson called it, etc. Of course, it would've been nice to stay at the lake longer...here are some pictures!
Quite mature for 2 1/2 and 3 years old, aren't they?
Weston and Addi had a nice time on the sea doo together.

Anders just loves taking trips to the lake. This is where she spends her time!
All of the kids enjoyed the swing, but Braden is still the dare devil- going VERY high!

Julie and I built a tent for the girls. They had so much fun crawling around inside!

Gigi bought a fire pit so the kids could roast marshmallows and make smores! We will always cherish our lake memories! I think it was about 18 years ago that those memories started! (Aunt Glenda and Emily, we sure missed you!)

Summer is here!

Summer is finally here! I am so excited to have some time off of work. Here are some pictures of the diapers and wipes that John's friends at work gave him at a shower. It was so sweet of them! We won't have to worry about buying any for a while. We let Addison open everything, and she squealed over Finley's new diapers and wipes. (I'm not sure why she's half naked. I guess she was hot!).

Here are some pictures of "our little monster" that we plan to develop and put up in her monster bathroom.

flower girl, cow girl, little monster...

Wow! We have had a busy, but fun week and weekend! Addi was one of the flower girls in our friend Courtney's wedding. The rehearsal was Thursday night and the wedding was Friday night (at 7:00!). Thanks to a lot of prayer and a merciful God, SHE DID GREAT! We couldn't have asked for a better 2 nights!

Addi, Hannah, Courtney, and Dustin
Is this an "Addi expression" or what?!
Courtney's sister Brooke (who is also our neighbor) was due a few days before I am with her first child. She went into labor a week before the wedding. Her baby, Vayden, is in the NICU and poor Brooke (having just been out of the hospital for 2 days) came to the rehearsal, wedding, etc. I couldn't believe she made it through it all! She still has her staples from her C-section.

one silly flower girl!

Our wild thing danced the night away! She would get on the dance floor by herself and bust some moves I didn't know she had in her. We all cracked up!

On Saturday, we went to my friend Meredith's little boy's birthday party. It was a cow boy theme. They gave the kids hats and bandanas. The kids played at the park, decorated "boot" cookies, ate cake, and hit a pinata.

On Sunday, John happened to find a line of bathroom decorations called "Moody Monsters." As most of you know, Addison LOVES monsters and has for a long time (and she sure can be moody)! She is always talking about her monster friends. Everything was clearanced out, so we decided it was time to make our guest bathroom Addison's. She was so excited! We immediately went home, got the bathroom ready, and let her take a bath in her new bathroom. Once Finley gets here, we're going to take a picture of our girls to hang on the wall.

Happy (late) Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was so much fun! We had my family over on Saturday afternoon to celebrate! The kids played together, fed the geckos, and had lots of fun! It was great to see Aunt Glenda and Emily, too. (I was exhausted from our garage sale that morning so I didn't take a single picture.) Tanya, we missed you! Sunday after church we headed to Sarah's house to spend time with John's side of the family. Again, it was a beautiful day full of relaxing and hanging out together.
This was probably the memory from Mother's Day that I cherish most. My sweet Addi fell asleep on me. For those of you who know her, this is not even "rare" but rather "extinct." She hasn't fallen asleep on me since she was less than a year old. Oh, it was so nice to hold my sleeping little girl!

Sarah, Laura, and Robert (I know they're going to love this picture!)

I took these pictures one morning before school. Too cute!

John's first "clutch" of python eggs were ready to hatch. John found out that it is a good idea to slit the eggs to ensure the hatching of the babies so Addi and I went down to assist. It was really interesting! We could see the veins in the eggs and, once John cut the slits, we could see the actual baby snakes. A few days later, the eggs hatched and John was excited to see that 2 of the babies are Mohaves (one is a normal python, and the other one died). He has 2 more sets of eggs that should hatch sometime after Finley is born. Speaking of Finley, she's not too far from making her appearance. Just 5 weeks to go. I go to the doctor tomorrow to see if I've dialated at all or have thinned out. We can't wait to meet our precious baby girl!
